Heidi Martin, State of Wyoming ETS

Heidi Martin serves as the State GIS Coordinator for Wyoming, where she is responsible for the coordination of statewide geospatial data, initiatives, and policies. Her role encompasses supporting geospatial services across all levels of government, currently focusing on efforts related to data-sharing, system administration of enterprise GIS systems, contract consolidation, and the stewardship of GIS systems.
With over 20 years of experience in Wyoming state government, Heidi brings a wealth of knowledge in areas including land surveying, right-of-way processes, and computer-aided drafting. Throughout her career, she has played a pivotal role in training and establishing new standards for various processes, developing instructional design, managing fieldwork projects, and facilitating coordination among city, county, state, and federal entities.
Heidi actively participates in numerous professional organizations, including the Wyoming NextGen9-1-1 GIS workgroup, the Laramie County GIS Cooperative, the Wyoming Geospatial Organization (WYGEO), the National States Geographic Information Council (NSGIC), and the Southeast chapter of the Professional Land Surveyors of Wyoming (PLSW).
Residing in Cheyenne for nearly three decades, Heidi holds a degree in Information Technology from Colorado State University, has completed her Cadastral Land Surveying education at the University of Wyoming, and earned an Engineering Technology degree from Laramie County Community College.
