Monte McClain, of Powell, represents the Wyoming Joint Chapter of the Association of Professional Communications Officials and the National Emergency Number Association, (WYAPCO/NENA) where he serves as Chapter President. With 25 years of service with the Park County Sheriff’s Office he is the Communications Supervisor and 911 Coordinator. In 2021 he was appointed by the Governor to serve on the Public Safety Communications Commission representing 911 interests across the state. He recently retired from EMS after 32 years of service, serves on the Crown Hill Cemetery Board in Powell and instructs communications staff in current and relevant topics for their careers both at the Wyoming Law Enforcement Academy and at conferences in the region. He continues to teach EMS/911 specific classes in his spare time for other agencies. He also serves on numerous advisory boards for 9-1-1 and communications professionals across the state.
Monte is married to his best friend Stacie and enjoys spending time with his family in his down time.
