Juli Anna McNutt, Lark Environmental, Inc

Get ready to dive into the world of butterflies and geospatial habitat suitability models with Ms. Juli Anna McNutt.  She will draw from her biology expertise and share innovative GIS-based permitting solutions that have been used for protecting threatened pollinator species’ habitats.  Her experience, spanning a decade and covering one million acres, is set to describe the utilization of GIS for streamlined permitting.  She will provide details on how oil and gas producers, consultants, and government agencies have been relying on the output of these models, and future plans for using GIS to guide the protection of additional pollinator species. 

Juli Anna McNutt, a co-founder of Lark Environmental, Inc., has been specializing in wildlife management and ecology, natural resource planning, and NEPA compliance for the last 25 years.  She holds a B.S. in Wildlife & Fisheries Sciences from Texas A&M University and an M.S. in Environmental Biology from the University of Houston.  She has extensive experience working with both the private and government sectors, working with and for numerous Native American tribes, and coordinating with federal, state, local, and tribal agencies about sensitive species, working to find solutions forward for all parties involved.  She is a clear communicator with the ability to relate to different audiences regarding sensitive issues, efficiently understand potential issues, and develop rapid, effective, and practical solutions.
