WyGEO offers two $1500 scholarships to deserving college students once a year in the spring: One to a full-time undergraduate student and one to a full-time graduate student. These academic scholarships are designed for students exhibiting academic excellence in geospatial technologies fields: Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Remote Sensing, Global Positioning Systems (GPS), or related disciplines. The scholarship awards can be used to offset any costs the student may incur while pursuing their college credentials, including tuition, books, data, field work or travel costs to attend a WyGEO-sponsored gathering.

To qualify for a scholarship, you must be:

  • A Wyoming resident.
  • An undergraduate student enrolled full-time in an associate or bachelor’s degree program with GIS as a major emphasis of study, or a graduate student enrolled full-time in a graduate degree or certificate program with an emphasis on GIS.
  • Attending an accredited Wyoming 2-year or 4-year college/university, either as a resident or if pursuing an online degree, as an online student residing in Wyoming.

Applications are due March 4th 2022. Contact scholarships@wygeo.org for more info.
